The LG VX9400 is creating quite a buzz in the phone community with it’s novel flip screen that pivots from portrait view to landscape view allowing for optimal television and video viewing.
The screen orientation automatically adjusts when you flip the screen allowing you to go from phone to TV in just a second. This phone is offered through Verizon and is designed to work their V-cast mobile television service. Touted as one of the best phones available for television viewing, we fear this phone may be a one trick pony.
Answering the phone when it is in television mode is practically impossible do to the position of the microphone, and every time you need to dial a number you have to flip the screen up, then flip it down to talk.
The LG VX9400 does incorporate 3G technology using EV-Do; however, it is not a quad-band phone. This phone performs all your basic cell phone functions and also includes a 1.3 mega pixel camera, instant messaging and can sync with Outlook.
Perhaps not a great overall multimedia phone, the LG VX9400 is a decent cellular phone with television capabilities; however, the required screen flipping may get irritating after a while.
