The Helio Ocean is an interesting, unique phone that includes both a full QWERTY keyboard and 0-9 number pad. Overall, it is a decent phone, and great for those beginning to use smartphones and multimedia phones. It’s sleek and innovative design proves to be popular among teens and young adults.
It supports all popular audio formats, has a messaging hub for texts, IMs and email, and a MySpace shortcut. The Ocean uses Opera Internet browser, which allows you to surf the Internet with ease. However, it does not have Wi-fi. Instead it uses EV-Do technology.
It has a 2.0 mega pixel camera, supports MPEG4 video and Helio’s Buddy Beacon is a built-in GPS program that allows users to locate their friends around town (this only works with other Ocean phones).
Although the Ocean can sync with your MS Outlook, it lacks the additional productivity tools usually accompanying these types of multimedia cellular phones.
