BlackBerry has emerged as a leading manufacturer in the ocean of smartphones, and the 8300, also known as the BlackBerry Curve, is sure to make a splash. This is BlackBerry’s latest handheld designed around versatility and functionality. Whether you use your smartphone strictly for business or for fun, the Curve is up to the task.

Mulitmedia Features:
The media player included on the Curve makes it easy to enjoy your favorite media on the go. You can play video and music in vibrant color and quality sound. The BlackBerry Desktop Media Manager, based on Roxio Media Creator, will help you manage your videos pictures and songs.
Voice/ Text Features:
The Curve offers all of the standard cell phone features like speaker phone, three-way calling and SMS and MMS messaging.
Internet Features:
This BlackBerry allows you to view full webpages as you would view them on a computer. You can also use the Curve as a tethered modem, so it acts as the wireless modem for your laptop.
We were disappointed it doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi for faster Internet speeds.
Productivity/ Lifestyle Tools:
BlackBerry is known for its productivity tools and the BlackBerry Curve is no exception. The Curve’s operating system incorporates personal information management (calendar, task list, etc.) as well as a calculator, alarm clock and airplane mode. If the Curve doesn’t come pre-installed with the a feature you want, there is sure to be a third-party application to meet your needs.
Technical Specifications:
This candy-bar style phone has a full QWERTY keypad making it easy to respond to emails or even edit documents. The Curve also has large screen but is still compact enough to fit in a jacket pocket.
Wow Score:
This is the most streamlined BlackBerry to date with smooth lines and metallic casing. But most impressive, is what’s inside—this small device is packed with practical applications.
Summary:
The BlackBerry Curve is an excellent all around smartphone. It excels in business functions, yet still has the tools you need to create, manage and enjoy your media.
